What this field describes

This field is the amount, transaction processing fee container in the selected profiles. Its role is separate from other transaction, settlement and fee amount fields.

Read the amount’s currency, sign and scale from the connection specification. A fixed container length does not establish those accounting rules.

Length limits describe encoded values. They exclude any length prefix. The profiles can be customized; these settings do not establish the required fields or accepted values for a live connection.

Read the field boundary

Read exactly 9 value bytes. The next field begins immediately afterwards under this profile; no length prefix belongs to this field.
